The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, renowned for its dinosaur exhibits, has made an astonishing discovery beneath its own parking lot. While investigating the feasibility of geothermal heating, a team drilled a hole 750 feet deep and uncovered a fossil bone. After further assessment and X-ray imaging, the bone was identified as a large rib from a camptosaur, a plant-eating dinosaur that roamed the area around 150 million years ago. This unexpected find underscores the rich history preserved beneath the city of Denver, highlighting the potential for urban areas to yield significant paleontological discoveries.
